...Currently in development, cast TBC.
Trace (stage and film)
...Currently in development. Trace is a continuation of the Delay and Echo projects and focuses on the idea of tracing the outlines of a charater and of personalities through the dynamics of movement and the flow of the extremities of the body. A duet, Trace plays with contrast in every way possible; from character to height to level to momentum. Trace is choreographed by Mikkel Buda Svak and features Tony Adigun and others, and an experimental techno and house soundtrack.
In Tense (Stage)
...Commission work for 22 girls created for Terpsichore Dance Company in Gloucester in November 2012. Set to music by UK composer Jack Maynard.
Twice, and again (stage)
...a short solo work developed to the music of Phil Coulter; a dancer enters, the music starts to play, and her body takes over, over, and over again, as she comes to terms with being flung around by her hopes and thoughts, and dances as she lives: twice, and again...
New Work created for Michaela-Rose Coussens in 2012.
Broken Light (film)
...a reflection on shadows, one moment it's clear, the next moment it's gone.
An in-camera edited short film, shot on Super8 film, improvised and performed by Suzuko Tanoiri; Directed and filmed by Mikkel Buda Svak. 2012.
Elegy of me (stage and film)
...an intense solo work centered around the Horton hinge study, the piece uses the intense physicality of the dancer to develop a character afraid of failure, frustrated with life and affected by deep personal loss. The piece was inspired by repeated news reports of teen stabbings and developed as physical comment on life as it was told by reporters. Originally premiered in Cloud Dance Festival, performed by Mikkel Buda Svak, and since redeveloped on Murilo Leite De Imperio for a film version in 2011.

...a rambling reflection on the world in free assiciation style...

Echo (stage and film)
...a duet for a dancer and herself. Echo is the result of a reaction to memories, and the outcome of integrating hiphop techniques and the use of the traditional ballet pointeshoe, to enhance and develop the percussive and angular moves in floor and footwork. Echo was developed by Mikkel Buda Svak for and with Nefeli Tsiouti in 2010 and 2011.
Delay (film installation)
...an installation for 8mm film loop and four projectors... a dancer moves via the continuous strip of 8mm film through four projectors and across four screens. By way of the mechanical progress of the film strip through first one, then another, projector; a quartet of delays and repeated movement is created. Featuring dancer and performer Amy Latchman. Filmed 2010-2011.
...an online venue project developed by Mikkel Buda Svak and Hakan Redjep; ELEVEN aims to bring the sense of elusiveness and fluidity of art to the internet by providing an online opportunity to view a new work for one month only, in an uncluttered online environment free of any and all suggestions, links and general webishness. A new work is premiered online every month on the 11th, for 11 months, each season of 11 new works starting on the 11th November. The first installment and the site itself launched on the 11.11.11 - a new season of works will launch on the 11.11.12
...Mikkel teaches professional Horton and Limon technique based contemporary classes across the UK and is currently in the process of setting up a series of regular classes in London and further north.
The next scheduled class is Friday 4th January 2012 at Pineapple Studios in London.
